Grits, Quails, and Pies.

John and I celebrated our whopping 3-Month anniversary by going to Silo Elevated Cuisine and Bar.

John has a cousin who works there so instead of ordering off of a menu, Brian just cooked for us.

And it was damn delicious.

Because we were busy eating fancy food we had never eaten before and trying to be sophisticated we didn't take pictures of our first two courses. Which means you'll have to use your imagination as I describe them.

The First Course: Was a chorizo and potato...deliciousness with an egg on top with chipotle sauce.

The Second Course: Fried oyster and grits. I had never had grits before and based on their name I wasn't expecting much of them but hot dam were they tasty. I doubt that I could recreate that texture and taste from a box I pick up at HEB. Also, frying anything makes it insanely more tasty. I am a true American.

The Third Course: Was a goat cheese stuffed quail with a cranberry sauce and a berry salad. Which I have a picture of!
It was a hard thing to eat a mini bird all cute and dead. But it tasted so good.

And finally -- the best -- DESSERT!

Dessert Trio: Cheesecake, Toasted Coconut Cream Pie and Dark Chocolate Gnache

If I believed in god, I would also believe he took a whole day to make that coconut pie.

Needless to say, after our four course meal we were more than satisfied. The only thing that would have made it better was if I didn't have to go to work right after.
